Thursday 10th April 2008 saw the opening night of the annual exhibition of The Thursday Life Drawing Group which is run by IGI member Brian Gallagher.
This is the fifth year we have held an exhibition, the first one was held by Tom Byrne who set the group up. The show is currently being displayed in the United Arts Club where the life drawing group meets each week.
There was a great opening speech from Barrister Johnnie McCoy who highly praised the work.
A great mix of work was exhibited by both past & present IGI members inc. PJ Lynch , Eoin Coveney , Stephen Ledwidge, Nicola Sedgwick, Oisin Roche, Paul Stewart, Mierzey, and Brian Gallagher.

As well as work by IGI illustrators, there were also pieces by such acclaimed Irish Fine Artists as Comhghall Casey and Oisin Roche. A large crowd attended and 8 of the 45 exhibits had been sold before the opening even took place, there were yet more sales during the night.

The show continues until the 28th April and can be viewed each evening. Get along while you can and pick up some reasonably priced original artwork to adorn your walls. From pencil line drawings to oil paintings, prices range from €80 to €800.

A big thanks to everyone who supports the group and especially to the models.
