I’m a Senior Art Director, Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Wildlife Artist particularly interested in working on projects related to brand design, events, marketing, publishing and biodiversity.
As an illustrator, I work in two different styles – a simple one that I deliver as vector art and usually apply to conceptual illustration (see agrand.ie), and a detailed, traditional one that I use in my wildlife art. I switch between these styles depending on the market’s and my own needs.
During the first 19 years of my career as an art director and graphic designer, I’ve been involved in working on a large variety of projects for large and medium-sized organisations and ad agencies, to which I contributed with my design and illustration skills. Back then, I was adapting my illustration style to the clients’ own style and guidelines.
In 2018, after the publication of my first (and award-winning) book in Ireland – ‘Dr Hibernica Finch’s Compelling Compendium of Irish Animals’ (Little Island, 2018) – I decided to dedicate more of my time to my lifelong passion for animals and have been involved in various wildlife-related projects, such as designs and illustrations for biodiversity-related organisations (see NaturalWorldDesign.ie). To date, I have four wildlife-related books published in Ireland.
