Ann Kiernan is a multi award winning illustrator based in Berlin. She works out of her studio located in the Intelligence Department Studios in the former building of the GDR’s operational and technical sector in Berlin-Alt-Hohenschönhausen.
Ann works mainly in inks using bold brushstrokes and incorporating additional elements to bring emotion and edge to her illustrations. Her clients include the Washington Post, Politico Europe, Trinity College Science Gallery, Image Magazine and many more.
Ann has been awarded the Moira Gemmill Illustrator of the Year 2020 and the Winner of the Illustrated Journalism V&A Award 2020. Her work was selected as a winning illustration in the Hiii Illustration 2019 International Competition and will be on exhibition in China in 2021. She shortlisted in the CA Illustration 2020 Awards editorial category and selected for the Social Art Award Book 2019.
