Devika Oza

I am an illustrator from Kolkata, the City of Joy, a place celebrated for its rich art, culture, and food. Growing up surrounded by folklore and storytelling, I developed a deep love for narratives that bring characters to life. While pursuing a BA in Multimedia and Animation at a prestigious art institute in Kolkata, I discovered my passion for illustration, which led me to specialize in children’s books.

My journey has taken me across the world—I spent five years in Toronto, Canada, and now call Dublin, Ireland, home. This global experience has shaped my artistic voice, inspiring me to create stories that are multicultural, diverse, and inclusive. I would describe my art style as warm, colourful, and full of humour, bringing a sense of joy and connection to every project.

I have collaborated with various indie publishers and authors, illustrating vibrant worlds and memorable characters. Some of my clients include Gnome Road Publishing, Oxford University Press, Macmillan Education, and Kids Can Press.

When I’m not illustrating, you’ll find me lost in a romance novel, watching horror movies, or sipping bubble tea with my boyfriend.
