Rachel Corcoran

Rachel Corcoran is a freelance self-taught illustrator from Dublin, Ireland. In a previous life, Rachel was an art historian and archaeologist, and her love and knowledge of long-forgotten worlds is captured within her work.

Utilising digital mediums in a traditional manner has helped her to establish a characteristic style, which has been described as “a mix of pretty with a healthy dash of wit.” Rachel’s  illustrations are influenced by her fondness for sketchy colouring pencils and exuberant washes of paint. Her love of vintage ephemera and history are also an irresistible inspiration on her work. This fascination manifests in Rachel’s choice of subject matter; and her love of faded, muted tones and tarnished textures.

Rachel is excited to work on illustration projects in publishing, food, editorial, and branding/advertising.
Please visit her website for more information, and to discuss future projects.

Selected clients include: Penguin Random House, Usborne Publishing, The O’Brien Press, Dubray Books, Merrion Press, Royal Mail, Kerry Group, Fáilte Ireland, Ted Baker, Airfield Estate, and Vintage Tea Trips.
