I am Sayani Mukherjee, a children’s book illustrator based in Dublin with a passion to observe and recreate children’s expressions and activities in a whimsical art form. I love to use bold colours and lots of textures to create fun and detailed illustrations.
I started my journey as a professional digital illustrator in 2020 and have been greatly interested in the digital art platform, especially in exploring character design for children. I believe that it’s an exciting journey to illustrate the characters for a children’s book. Inspired by the experiences I had in my childhood memories and fascinated by nature and different cultures, I enjoy telling stories and creating beautiful magical illustrations that make me feel happy. Using nature as inspiration is my absolute favourite thing, and that shows up quite often in my artwork.
To date, I have worked with clients from different countries, including individual authors as well as different publishers like Van-Driel Publishing (Belgium), Nigma Publishing (Russia), etc.
