Illustrators Ireland sees six members longlisted for the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards 2025
The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards are the leading annual children’s book awards in Ireland. Established in 1990, these awards identify, honour and promote excellence in books for young people by Irish authors and illustrators.
This year, 2025, sees six Illustrator Ireland members work recognised as they are longlisted for the awards.
- The Ratlin Bog by Jessica Law, illustrated by Brian Fitzgerald and published by Barefoot Books.
- Your Sense-Ational Human Body by Emma Young, illustrated by John Devolle and published by Bloomsbury.
- Bearradh Gruaige d’Eoinín by Muireann Ní Chiobháin, illustrated by Róisín Hahessy and published by Futa Fata.
- The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Irish Lighthouses by David Hare, illustrated by Linda Fahrlin and published by Gill Books.
- The Ballad of Cactus Joe by Lily Murray, illustrated by Clive McFarland and published by Oxford University Press.
- Fia and the Last Snow Deer by Eilish Fisher , illustrated by Dermot Flynn and published by Puffin.
- The Faerie Isle by Síne Quinn, illustrated by Dermot Flynn and published by Walker Books.
